What CLT is - and why it is a different class of construction
CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) is made from layers of timber laid crosswise. This creates a stiff, dimensionally stable structural panel used for walls, floors, and roofs.
The core advantage is industrial precision. Panels are manufactured and CNC-prepared in advance. On site, the building is not improvised - it is assembled according to the design, faster, cleaner, and with significantly fewer errors.

CLT is part of mass timber construction: under fire exposure, a char layer forms and the structural behaviour becomes calculable and predictable.

Is CLT reliable in Greece (heat / humidity / coastal conditions)?
Yes - when building physics is done properly: protected details, a correct facade build-up (often a ventilated facade), a ventilation strategy, and disciplined installation. We design the home as a system.
How safe is CLT in fire conditions?
Fire performance is engineered and calculated (REI 60/120 depending on the build-up). Charring is predictable (approx. 0.7 mm/min). Gypsum linings can increase protection (16 mm approx. +40 min, 13 mm approx. +25 min).
Why do you claim A+?
Because A+ is achieved by the full system: structure + envelope + details + MEP. CLT is a strong base - our job is to deliver the full performance.
